How much do NYICD courses cost?

The price depends on which course you’re enrolling in. You can check the cost of each individual NYICD course by clicking here. Please keep in mind that pricing may fluctuate over time, so it’s important to check that link for the most accurate tuition information.

What is NYICD’s refund policy?

We’re confident you’ll be satisfied with the high quality of our expertly-prepared career training programs, so we’ll give you 14 days to try them risk-free. If the course is not right for you for any reason, simply let us know and we’ll refund every penny. Learn more about our refund policy here.

Does NYICD offer financial aid or payment plans?

Because of the shorter length of our courses, they do not qualify for traditional financial aid packages. However, we do offer an affordable interest-free monthly payment plan. You can get started for a low down payment and pay off your course over time.

Is the tuition tax-deductible?

No, students shouldn’t claim their NYICD tuition payments on their federal or state tax returns. Because we do not participate in the United States Department of Education student aid programs, we are not an eligible institution for students to claim or qualify for various tax credits. With this in mind, we do not send students or graduates 1098 forms or any other paperwork needed for filing your yearly return.

Are NYICD courses offered online?

Yes, the New York Institute of Career Development is an online school. All of our courses are online, so you can access them at any time using any internet-connected device. Some of our courses include textbooks which we send via mail, while others include ebooks.

When do NYICD courses start?

All NYICD career courses have flexible schedules, designed to conveniently fit into our students’ busy lives. You can enroll and start anytime, study from anywhere in the world, and complete the course at your own pace. You have up to 18 months to complete your course at no additional cost, but most students complete far quicker than that.

Do I need any prior education or experience?

You may need a high school diploma in order to complete some of NYICD’s career courses. Call student services at 1-800-239-9275 to learn more.

How do I contact the school?

You may call or email us anytime. For students, call 1-800-240-0332. If you are not a student yet, call 1-800-239-9275. Our standard office hours are 9am-7pm Monday through Friday. If you try to get in touch with us outside of office hours, someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

What if I need help with my online course?

We offer stress-free career education. That means we are here to support you from the day you enroll until the day you get hired. You have access to a network of advisors, including professionals in your field of study, who you can email or call anytime you need. What equipment will I need?

All you will need to complete most of our courses is any internet-connected device – desktop or laptop computer, tablet, or smartphone. We provide everything else you need to complete your course. There are no additional fees or materials to purchase. If you have questions about one course in particular, please get in touch with us.

How long does it take to finish the course?

All of NYICD’s online career courses are self-paced, meaning you can complete your course as quickly as you are able to. Although our expertly-prepared courses can get you certified as quickly as possible, we give you up to 18 months to complete your course at no additional cost, so you can work at whatever speed you’re comfortable with.

If you enroll on our monthly payment plan, your progress will depend on your payments. When you get started by making your down payment, you will gain access to the first section of your course. After that, you will gain access to the following sections each time you make your monthly payment. Will NYICD courses fit into my schedule?

Yes. NYICD offers flexible career courses to conveniently fit even the busiest of schedules. Our students work, attend school and manage their families, so they need a training program that meets their needs. Our courses allow you to study anytime, anywhere, at your own pace.

Will I have to quit my job or school?

No. Because our courses are self-paced, you can complete them in your spare time, whenever that may be.

What kind of career resources does the school provide?

How do I log into my online course?

To access your online course, click on “Student Login” at the top of our website or visit courses.nyicd.com and enter your username and password. Your username is your email address and your password was assigned when you first enrolled. If you have trouble logging in, call us at 1-800-240-0332.

Do you accept transfer credits?

We do not accept transfer credit for any of our courses. Students wishing to transfer coursework from here to another institution should check with the receiving institution to understand their policy on transfer credits.
