The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) is a professional organization that represents pharmacists nationwide. The organization’s 45,000 members include pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Under the ASHP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) is an accrediting body that sets standards for the education of pharmacists. Since 1932, ACPE has worked to hold educational institutions accountable to assure quality training for people in the pharmacy profession.
