Education for Advancement

Ashworth College Partners with EFA
to Support Caribbean Students

Ashworth College partners with Education for Advancement (EFA) to promote and support a selection of our courses throughout the English-speaking Caribbean region. EFA is headquartered in Florida.

EFA assists students with worthwhile services, student inductions, workshops and ongoing guidance of students throughout their studies. This unique partnership makes it easier for international students to access our career training and degree programs, and fosters a more satisfying overall learning experience.

Caribbean Credit Transfer

In collaboration with EFA, Ashworth College has reviewed offerings from colleges throughout the Caribbean for the purpose of offering credit transfer for prior studies. This means that students who have completed a local associate degree within the past 10 years from an approved institution can transfer their credits and complete a full degree in as little as four semesters. This means you could earn a full bachelor's degree from an internationally accredited institution in a minimum 12 months. Please contact your local EFA office for more information.

Keep up to date with Education for Advancement (EFA) on the EFA Facebook page.

New York Institute of Career Development

The New York Institute of Career Development ("NYICD") strives to be the leading non-traditional academic institution educating people motivated to improve their lives. NYICD's sister schools include the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP) and the New York Institute of Art and Design (NYIAD).

The NYICD was established in 2012 offering two programs in the writing space: The Complete Course in Professional Blogging and Fiction & Memoir Writing. These courses were eventually moved to NYIAD as this institute was a better match for the programs.

In 2016, NYICD made the decision to add courses in allied health care and business administration, this was a new direction for the institute.

Additionally, in August of 2017 the institute received licensure from the New York State Education Department and offered six programs.

The institute added Paralegal and Veterinary Assistant career courses to their portfolio in 2018. Today NYICD offers twelve career focused programs in allied health and business.
